Description: Equality Florida is the largest statewide civil‑rights organization in Florida dedicated to securing full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people. Through lobbying, grassroots organizing, education, litigation support and public campaigns it works to prevent anti‑LGBTQ laws and advance nondiscrimination, transgender rights, safe schools, HIV‑related policy, and related protections for LGBTQ Floridians. Type: Nonprofit organization with multiple arms: Equality Florida Institute (501(c)(3)), Equality Florida Action (501(c)(4)) and an affiliated political action committee (Equality Florida PAC).
