1000 Friends of Wisconsin is a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization founded in 1996 that promotes sound land use planning, sustainable transportation, and environmental protection policies. The organization works to connect land use, transportation, climate, and economic development decisions to advance healthy communities and protect natural resources across Wisconsin.
Transportation policy and funding, comprehensive planning and land use regulation, smart growth development, housing policy, water quality protections, stewardship of natural resources, climate policy, and state budget matters related to the Department of Natural Resources and infrastructure investment.
