The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) is a national professional membership organization that represents nurse practitioners (NPs) across the United States. Its mission is to empower nurse practitioners to advance high-quality, accessible, patient-centered health care through practice, education, advocacy, research, and leadership.
AANP advocates for health care policies that expand access to care, promote full practice authority for nurse practitioners, strengthen primary and rural health care, support workforce development and education funding, improve reimbursement policies, advance public health initiatives, and protect patient access to high-quality, cost-effective services.
