About the Organization

The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) is a U.S.-based membership organization representing more than 150 accredited schools and programs of public health. Founded in 1941, ASPPH serves as the voice of academic public health, advancing excellence in education, research, and practice, and advocating for policies that improve population health and strengthen the public health workforce.

Policy Goals

Federal and state policies related to public health education funding, workforce development, research investment, accreditation standards, health equity, prevention, and support for agencies such as NIH, CDC, HRSA, and other public health and higher education programs.

Funding

Membership dues from accredited schools and programs of public health, federal grants and cooperative agreements, conference and program revenue, and philanthropic support.

Affiliates

Member schools and programs accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH); partnerships with organizations such as the American Public Health Association (APHA), federal public health agencies, and the Global Network for Academic Public Health.
