The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is North America’s largest technology trade association, representing more than 1,200 consumer technology companies from startups to global brands. Founded in 1924, CTA advocates for the U.S. consumer technology industry, conducts market research, develops voluntary industry standards, and owns and produces CES, one of the world’s largest technology trade shows.
Technology and innovation policy, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital trade, tariffs, intellectual property, wireless spectrum, consumer electronics standards, right to repair, sustainability, and regulatory matters affecting the consumer technology industry.
Primarily funded through member company dues, revenues from CES and other events, sponsorships, and industry services.
