The Detroit Regional Chamber is a regional, membership-based organization that represents businesses and community leaders across the Detroit metropolitan area. Its mission is to drive economic growth and competitiveness for the region by advocating policy, convening stakeholders, and promoting business attraction, retention and workforce development.
Typically pursues pro-business public policy: economic development and corporate attraction, workforce and talent development, infrastructure and transportation investment, favorable tax and regulatory environments for business, public-private partnerships, small business support, and regional competitiveness initiatives.
Primarily funded by membership dues and corporate sponsorships, plus revenue from events, programs and professional services; also receives grants and donations for specific initiatives.
Works closely with major Detroit-area corporate members and business leaders, regional economic development organizations, municipal and state government partners, and other business associations in Michigan.
