About the Organization

Eco-Justice Collaborative is an Illinois-based environmental justice nonprofit that raises public awareness and advocates policy and community action on climate, clean energy, coal ash, carbon capture, natural climate solutions, and related environmental health issues, with an emphasis on linking environmental protection to social and economic justice.

Policy Goals

Environmental justice, climate change mitigation, clean energy, coal ash regulation, opposition to carbon capture and sequestration, water and land protection, natural climate solutions, and equitable resource distribution.

Funding

Primarily supported by donations and contributions from supporters, including individual donations.

Co-founders Pam Richart and Lan Richart; coalition partners including Prairie Rivers Network, Illinois People’s Action, Sierra Club’s Prairie Group, Food and Water Watch, the Science and Environmental Health Network, BOLD Alliance, and the Indigenous Environmental Network.
