Floridians for Dental Access is a bipartisan Florida-based coalition of individuals and organizations working to address the state’s oral health crisis by expanding access to affordable dental care. Founded by Dr. Frank Catalanotto, a professor emeritus at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, the coalition promotes evidence-based practices in modern dentistry and dental hygiene and advocates for workforce and policy solutions to improve oral health equity.
Expansion of dental workforce models such as dental therapists, increased access to preventive and restorative dental services, improved Medicaid dental benefits, and evidence-based oral health policies to reduce emergency room utilization and address dental health professional shortage areas.
Support from member organizations, philanthropic and advocacy partners, and coalition contributions.
