The Illinois Broadcasters Association is a statewide trade association for Illinois radio and television broadcasters. Its mission is to advocate for the broadcast industry and help shape public policy and regulatory conditions affecting member stations, while also providing legal resources, member services, student programs, and industry awards.
Broadcasting, telecommunications, FCC and state regulatory issues, advertising rules, open meetings and FOI matters, emergency alert system compliance, workforce and internship development, and legislation affecting radio and television stations.
Primarily funded by membership dues and related member services/programs.
Illinois radio and television stations; board and leadership drawn from broadcasters and broadcast companies, including executives from WBBM-TV/CBS2 Chicago, WGN Radio, WMAQ-TV NBC5/Telemundo, Weigel Broadcasting, Audacy Chicago, and other Illinois stations.
