The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) is a nonprofit, membership trade association founded in 1902 that advocates for and supports manufacturing businesses across Michigan. MMA provides legislative and regulatory advocacy, workforce development and training, networking and business services, cost‑savings programs, and information for manufacturers ranging from small firms to large corporations.
Typically pursues pro‑manufacturing state policies including tax and regulatory reform, workforce development and apprenticeship initiatives, K‑12 and postsecondary career pipeline programs, workforce training and upskilling, infrastructure and energy policy favorable to industry, supply‑chain and procurement support, trade and economic development incentives, and employer‑focused labor and regulatory issues.
Primarily funded by member dues and fees, revenue from training, events and programs, sponsorships, and income from its for‑profit service subsidiary (MMASC).
