About the Organization

The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) is a U.S. trade association representing the wholesale distribution industry. Founded in 1946, NAW provides advocacy, research, executive education, events, and industry services to help wholesaler-distributors grow, modernize operations, and influence public policy affecting supply chains and distribution.

Policy Goals

Advocates on federal and state policies that affect wholesale distribution, including tax and regulatory reform, trade and customs policy, transportation and logistics, supply‑chain resilience, workforce development and training, procurement and procurement reform, and environmental and product‑packaging regulations that impact distributors.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues and subscriptions, event and conference fees, sponsorships and corporate partnerships, publication and research revenue, and professional services offered to members.

Affiliates

NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence (NAW's 501(c)(3) research arm), Modern Distribution Management (MDM, recently integrated), senior leadership such as President & CEO Eric Hoplin, and a federation of national, regional and state wholesaler trade associations and leading distributor firms.
