About the Organization

The National HIDTA Directors Association is a coordinating association of directors from the federal High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program, which works with federal, state, local, and tribal partners to disrupt drug trafficking, reduce drug misuse, and support prevention, treatment, and intelligence-sharing efforts.

Policy Goals

Drug trafficking enforcement, anti-money laundering, overdose prevention, substance use prevention and treatment, criminal intelligence sharing, interagency coordination, and public safety resource support.

Funding

Primarily funded through the federal HIDTA program administered by the Office of National Drug Control Policy, with support from participating law enforcement and public safety agencies.

Affiliates

Office of National Drug Control Policy, HIDTA regional directors, federal law enforcement partners, state and local police agencies, and related prevention and treatment initiatives.
