The National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU) is a U.S. labor union that represents mail handler craft employees of the United States Postal Service. Its mission is to negotiate and enforce national collective bargaining agreements, protect wages and benefits, improve workplace safety and staffing, and advance the employment interests of mail handlers and their families.
Collective bargaining and contract enforcement for postal workers; federal postal policy and funding; opposition to privatization or contracting out of USPS work; wages, pensions and health benefits (including the Mail Handlers Benefit Plan); workplace safety, staffing levels, and federal labor law protections for postal employees.
Primarily funded by member dues and associate membership/benefit-plan premiums, supplemented by per‑capita payments and support through affiliated labor organizations.
