The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) is the primary U.S. trade association representing companies that produce crushed stone, sand, and gravel (aggregates). It advocates for the industry's commercial, regulatory, safety, and environmental interests, and provides technical guidance, industry data, training, and workforce development resources to members.
Advocates for federal and state infrastructure investment and transportation funding; permitting and regulatory reform affecting mining and aggregate operations (including Clean Water Act and NEPA-related issues); workplace safety and training; tax and trade policies relevant to construction materials; and environmental stewardship and sustainable materials management.
Primarily funded by membership dues and fees from aggregate producers, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers, supplemented by revenue from conferences, publications, sponsorships, and events.
State and regional aggregates associations, allied construction and transportation industry groups such as the National Asphalt Pavement Association and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association, and major member companies in the aggregates and construction materials sector.
