National Taxpayers Union (NTU) is a Washington, D.C.-based taxpayer advocacy organization founded to represent individual taxpayers’ interests. NTU promotes lower taxes, limited government, fiscal restraint, regulatory relief, tax reform, and greater transparency in federal and state policy making.
Advocates for tax reduction and simplification, spending restraint and balanced budgets, limits on government growth, regulatory rollbacks, taxpayer rights and transparency, and state-level reforms that encourage tax competition and economic freedom.
Primarily funded by membership dues, individual and corporate donations, and philanthropic grants; maintains an affiliated educational nonprofit for policy research.
