About the Organization

National Taxpayers Union (NTU) is a Washington, D.C.-based taxpayer advocacy organization founded to represent individual taxpayers’ interests. NTU promotes lower taxes, limited government, fiscal restraint, regulatory relief, tax reform, and greater transparency in federal and state policy making.

Policy Goals

Advocates for tax reduction and simplification, spending restraint and balanced budgets, limits on government growth, regulatory rollbacks, taxpayer rights and transparency, and state-level reforms that encourage tax competition and economic freedom.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues, individual and corporate donations, and philanthropic grants; maintains an affiliated educational nonprofit for policy research.

National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF); President Pete Sepp; Chair Rob Solt; executive leadership including senior vice presidents and frequent collaboration with conservative and free-market policy groups.
