The National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) is a national labor union that represents employees of the U.S. Department of the Treasury and a range of other federal agencies. NTEU's mission is to provide collective-bargaining representation, defend members' pay and benefits, protect workplace rights and due process, and advocate for adequately funded and effective public service operations.
Collective bargaining and labor rights for federal employees; federal pay, benefits and retirement protection; workplace safety, telework and staffing policies; whistleblower and due-process protections; opposition to outsourcing/privatization of federal work; advocacy for adequate funding of federal agencies (including tax administration and Treasury operations).
Primarily funded by member dues, with additional revenue from union-operated programs and a political action committee for campaign contributions.
Affiliated with labor movement partners including the AFL-CIO and allied federal-employee organizations (e.g., AFGE, NARFE), and organized through numerous agency-level local chapters.
