The National Women’s Political Caucus of Virginia is the state chapter of the National Women’s Political Caucus, a multi-partisan, pro-choice grassroots organization founded to identify, recruit, train and support women candidates for elected and appointed office in Virginia and to advance policies that promote political parity and gender equality.
Endorsing and electing pro-choice women candidates; advancing reproductive rights and bodily autonomy; advocating for the Equal Rights Amendment and constitutional protections for reproductive freedom; promoting childcare and dependent-care access, health care equity, education equity, criminal justice reform, and environmental justice with an emphasis on impacts to women.
Primarily funded by individual donations, membership dues and contributions, fundraising events and small-dollar online fundraising coordinated by the state chapter.
Affiliated with the National Women’s Political Caucus (national organization) and routinely collaborates with other Virginia and national women’s political, reproductive rights, and progressive policy organizations.
