About the Organization

The New York State Broadcasters Association is a trade association that represents more than 400 radio and television stations in New York and advocates for local broadcasting’s role in news, emergency information, community service, and the state economy.

Policy Goals

Broadcasting regulation, FCC compliance, media ownership and competition, newsroom and source protection, public service and emergency communications, and state and federal issues affecting radio and television stations.

Funding

Primarily funded by member stations through dues, sponsorships, training programs, events, and related association services.

Affiliates

Member radio and television stations across New York; National Association of Broadcasters; association leadership including President and Executive Director David Donovan and incoming President and Executive Director Heidi Raphael.
