About the Organization

The Prevention Alliance of Tennessee (PAT) is a statewide public health nonprofit and coalition network focused on reducing substance use and promoting healthier communities across Tennessee. It serves as a collective voice for prevention coalitions, providing advocacy, training, technical assistance, and support for evidence-based prevention strategies.

Policy Goals

Substance use prevention, alcohol safety, tobacco and drug misuse prevention, public health policy, coalition-based community prevention, and evidence-based prevention programs and environmental policy change.

Funding

Primarily funded by grants from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, with additional support from member dues and other coalition funding sources.

Affiliates

A network of more than 60 local prevention coalitions across Tennessee; affiliated with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services; led by CEO Stephanie Strutner.
