Save Our States is a conservative policy nonprofit founded in 2009 and led by Trent England. The group says its mission is to defend the constitutional power of U.S. states, preserve the Electoral College, and promote state-level policies to protect elections, the economy, and critical infrastructure.
Works at the state level on election and federalism issues: defending the Electoral College, opposing the National Popular Vote interstate compact and ranked‑choice voting, advocating consolidation of election days, and promoting state actions against perceived foreign influence and corporate ESG practices.
Primarily funded by individual donations and grants from conservative philanthropic networks and foundations; has received support routed through donor‑advised funds and intermediary conservative funding vehicles.
Founder and executive director Trent England; allied groups and coalitions include the Honest Elections Project, the Stop RCV coalition, the State Policy Network and various state‑based conservative think tanks; collaborators have included election policy figures such as Sean Parnell and Tara Ross.
