The Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) is a statewide membership organization that advocates for and provides resources to Michigan small businesses, offering policy advocacy, education, networking, and business support to strengthen the state’s small-business environment.
Advocates for state-level small business interests including regulatory reduction and permitting reform, tax and fee relief, access to capital and financing, workforce development and training, affordable healthcare options for small employers, entrepreneurship and economic development programs, and liability and litigation reform affecting small businesses.
Primarily funded by membership dues and fees, event and sponsorship revenue, program and training fees, and occasional grants or sponsorships.
Member small businesses across Michigan and partnerships with local chambers of commerce, regional economic development organizations, and statewide business coalitions and advocacy groups.
