Police Officers' Defense Coalition (PODC) is a Virginia-based advocacy organization focused on supporting law enforcement officers, sheriffs, public safety officers, and the broader law enforcement community. It says it works to defend police dignity and respect, oppose anti-police policies, and promote legislation it believes improves public safety.
Public safety and law enforcement policy, including support for police officers, opposition to measures it views as defunding or undermining police, protections against civil lawsuits and criminal penalties related to attacks on officers, and endorsement/scorecard activity on candidates and elected officials.
Primarily supported by donations and contributions; as a 501(c)(4), contributions are not tax-deductible and PODC states it has discretion and control over donated funds.
