About the Organization

The Road Information Program (TRIP) is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit highway transportation research organization founded in 1971. It researches, evaluates, and distributes economic and technical data on surface transportation issues, including the condition and safety of roads and bridges, and promotes policies to improve mobility, safety, and economic productivity.

Policy Goals

Surface transportation and infrastructure policy, including highway and bridge investment, road safety, congestion relief, transportation funding, and policies that enhance economic productivity and mobility.

Funding

Voluntary contributions and grants from companies and organizations involved in the highway construction industry, including construction firms, equipment manufacturers, insurers, suppliers, and related trade groups.

Affiliates

Associated General Contractors of America and other highway construction industry organizations; led by Executive Director David Kearby.
