About the Organization

The Union of Concerned Scientists is a national nonprofit science advocacy organization founded in 1969 that works to use rigorous, independent science to solve the planet’s most pressing problems. Its mission is to advance science-based solutions for a healthy planet and a safer world by addressing issues such as climate change, clean energy, food and agriculture, nuclear weapons, and scientific integrity in public policy.

Policy Goals
