The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) is an independent, science-based nonprofit that combines rigorous technical analysis and public advocacy to promote evidence-based solutions to pressing problems such as climate change, clean energy transition, safe and responsible nuclear policy, sustainable transportation, and the integrity of science in public decision-making.
