SAFE Drugs Act of 2025 would tighten oversight of compounding pharmacies and large outsourcing facilities. It limits how often they can make near-copies of approved drugs, requires reports when these drugs are shipped often to patients in other states, and mandates inspections before large facilities open and at least every two years. It may improve drug safety and tracking, but could raise costs or reduce access to some custom medicines.
