The League of Women Voters of Virginia is a nonpartisan, statewide organization that promotes informed and active participation in Virginia government. It conducts voter education and registration, studies public policy issues, and advocates for fair election administration, accessible voting, and transparent government consistent with the League’s positions.
Voting rights and access, election administration and reform (including redistricting and anti-gerrymandering measures), voter registration and turnout initiatives, campaign finance transparency, civic education, government transparency and accountability, and other public policy issues developed through nonpartisan member study and consensus.
Primarily member dues, individual donations, foundation grants, and fundraising activities; often supported by an affiliated education fund for tax-deductible contributions.
