About the Organization

RepresentWomen is a U.S.-based research and advocacy organization that advances gender-balanced political representation by identifying and promoting structural, evidence-based reforms so more women can run, win, serve, and lead. The group produces research (including a Gender Parity Index), campaigns for electoral reforms such as ranked-choice and proportional voting, and advocates legislative workplace changes that lower barriers to women’s political participation.

Policy Goals

Electoral system reforms (ranked choice voting, multi-member districts, proportional representation), candidate recruitment and party quota reforms, public financing and campaign access measures, and legislative workplace modernization (childcare, nursing rooms, scheduling) to increase women’s representation.

Funding

Primarily foundation grants and individual donations; major philanthropic supporters have included Pivotal Ventures, Democracy Fund, Open Society Foundations, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Unite America, and other foundations and individual donors.
